Photo: Getty ImagesA Christchurch parish is in mourning after learning two of its members are believed to have been involved in a fatal boating accident in Southland. The parish was notified on Tuesday that two of its members had been reported as missing. Their four-metre boat was reported missing on Lake Hauroko on Friday, May 31. Police said yesterday they believed they got into difficulty nearly a week before they were reported missing. The boat was reported missing five days later and their names were not written in the Caroline Hut visitors book where they were expected to visit on their trip.
