Christmas campers made the most of the clear waters in the Marlborough Sounds this Christmas, despite the sometimes windy conditions. RICKY WILSON/STUFF Despite the wind, holidaymakers were able to enjoy a warm Christmas weekend at Momorangi Bay. Christchurch resident Barret Chapman had been visiting Momorangi Bay for the last 33 years, but this year's shorter travel time was a welcome relief. The Brereton family arrived from Nelson as they normally did every Christmas and Mel Brereton said this year's Christmas Eve seemed a bit quieter compared to previous years.
