Christie Blatchford: You think Pink Day is harmless until you raise your voice against it in the town square

The Day of Pink was celebrated this week at, among other places, the Toronto District School Board, the biggest one in the country. At most, if not all schools, teachers were “encouraged” to wear pink T-shirts (were there any who didn’t?) The day after Pink Day, Brazau was in Ontario Superior Court, arguing that he should be allowed to change his earlier guilty plea to causing a disturbance to not guilty. He also alleged that police and prosecutors deliberately overcharged him “so as to extract a guilty plea” from him. As the smart Wilfrid Laurier University student Christine Schuknecht — she belongs to a pro-life group on campus — wrote in the National Post this week, “disagreement now equals harm.”Belated Happy Pink Day.
