A fire which destroyed a house in Christchurch overnight was suspicious, investigators said. Fire and Emergency New Zealand received multiple calls about the fire on Macaulay St, Addington, about 2.15am on Saturday. The fire also destroyed a car parked at the property and caused damage to a neighbouring home, including breaking windows and melting guttering. He said the fire was not accidental and was being treated as suspicious.
