Concerned authorities said, the medical activities are now being run by 50 percent physicians at present, and patients are deprived of standard treatment. According to hospital administrative sources, there are officially 11 physicians in the hospital but the number of total post of physicians in the hospital is 21. In addition, 31 posts for staff including nurses, office assistants, cashiers, ward-boys, are now also vacant resulting in the torpid situation of the medical services of the hospital. Hospital sources said, in past, the former physician of Department of Gynaecology attached to the Hospital, Imdadul Haque, was very popular for his services and treatment. ChowgachaUpazila Health Complex got more doctors accordingly.
