The alert will be in effect till the official holidays for Eid ends. Md Mahmudul Hasan, divisional forest officer (DFO) of Sundarbans (east) Forest Department, confirmed the matter on Sunday afternoon. Further, the Eid holidays of all concerned officials and forest guards of Sundarbans have been cut short, he added.
