Choppy water: Brexit impacts ICG numbers

For the year to May 11, the Irish Ferries parent group carried 95,000 cars, down 8.5pc on the previous year. The fall in numbers was also due to lower tourism volumes as a result of the planned suspension of fastcraft services on the Dublin to Holyhead route for a period. Across all divisions, group revenue in the four months to April 30 was €102.3m, up 6.1pc compared with last year. The group's revenue is weighted towards the summer period due to the seasonality of tourism bookings. Yesterday shares in ICG were trading up 1.9pc.
