HBO released the first full trailer for its upcoming fantasy series His Dark Materials. Based on the novel series of the same name by Sir Philip Pullman, the epic trilogy follows the coming of age of two children, as they meander through a series of parallel universes. The grand visuals include witches, daemons, armoured polar bears and a zeppelin, as the subject matter alludes to concepts of physics, philosophy and theology. Mysterious: The story follows Lyra Belacqua, an orphan whose search for her kidnapped friend takes her to mysterious lands and pits her against a terrifying enemy. His Dark Materials is expected to premiere on HBO sometime later this year.
