Whatever your needs, there’s a CUPRA for you Photograph: PRThe transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is a big part of the UK’s plans to achieve net zero, with proposals to ban the sale of new cars that run solely on petrol or diesel by 2030. The country hit a significant milestone in 2024, with more than 1,250,000 fully electric cars now on Britain’s roads. A further 715,000 are plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Yet the same survey found that 94% of CUPRA EV owners are happy they now drive an electric car, and none of the respondents said they’d go back to a petrol or diesel engine. Among all of the non-EV drivers polled, seven in 10 believe they’ll be driving a fully electric car within the next 10 years.
