Based on the records of the Commission on Elections Law Department, Chong is the substitute candidate for Rosita Caringal Imperial of the Katipunan ng Demokratikong Pilipino. “This deadline is set so that the name of the substitute candidate can still be printed on the official ballot,” said the poll body. However, no substitute shall be allowed for any independent candidate.
