Malaysia’s singles ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei got off to a brilliant start at the World Superseries Finals in Dubai.Chong Wei exacted sweet revenge over Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong by scoring a spectacular 21-14, 21-14 win in 40 minutes in the opening Group A match at the Hamdan Sports Complex.The Malaysian lost to the 23-year-old Angus at the China Open quarter-finals last month.Chong Wei will take on Son Wan-ho of South Korea on Wednesday to confirm his ticket for the semi-finals of the world event.Malaysia’s mixed doubles pair Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing, however, fell flat on the opening day when they lost 12-21, 11-21 to World No. 4 Wang Yilyu-Huang Dongping of China in their Group B match.They will have to defeat Chris Adcock-Gabrielle Adcock of England to keep alive a hope of qualifying for the semi-finals in their maiden World Superseries Finals.
