A new study has concluded that chocolate Labs die much sooner than Labrador retrievers of other colours. Chocolate Labs were found to be dying sooner mainly as a result of getting ear and skin diseases at a higher rate. Breeders must therefore breed two chocolate labs together to ensure a chocolate puppy. The study also found that Labradors are one of Britain’s fattest dog breeds. Labradors, which have their origins in Newfoundland and Labrador, are one of the most popular dog breeds in the English-speaking world.
