Akhaura railway police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Setafur Rahman said a bogie of Chittagong-bound ‘Jalalabad Express’ train, coming from Sylhet, veered off the tracks around 7:30am on Friday while entering the rail station, halting train movement between Chittagong and Sylhet. However, no casualty was reported. Khalilur Rahman, Akhaura station master, said rail communication between Chittagong-Sylhet route resumed after two and a half hours.
