Additional Deputy Commissioner Golam Ruhul Kuddus, also the spokesperson of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, said: "Shakhawat was arrested from Rohonpur area of Chapainawabganj district on Thursday night. "On Wednesday, Liza's father Alam Mia filled a case with Shah Makhdum police station against Shakhawat, his father Mahbub Alam and mother Najnin Begum, for instigating Liza to commit suicide," the police official added. On September 28, Liza, 16, went to Shah Makhdum police station to file a domestic violence case after a quarrel with her husband. Locals rescued Liza and sent her to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), but she was then transferred to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where she died around 7:30am on Wednesday with 64% burn injuries.
