According to the Chittagong Catholic Archdiocese, the archbishop breathed his last at 9:20 am. Bishop Moses M Costa is the first ‘Metropolitan Archbishop’ of Chittagong. He was appointed on February 2, 2017, as Pope Francis elevated the Chittagong diocese to the status of Metropolitan Archdiocese. Six years prior to Mose's appointment as an archbishop, he was discharged of his duties as the Bishop of Chittagong.
