China Pacific insurance premium revenue climbs


China Pacific Insurance (2601) reported its revenue from insurance premium rose 1.6 percent for first two months this year. The accumulated gross premium income of its subsidiaries China Pacific Life Insurance and China Pacific Property Insurance was 90.9 billion yuan (HK$101.2 billion) for the first two moths, up by 1.59 percent year-on-year. The accumulated gross premium income of its subsidiaries China Pacific Life Insurance and China Pacific Property Insurance were up by 0.09 percent to 66.733 billion yuan and up by 6.56 percent 24.190 billion yuan, respectively. Meanwhile, Ping An Insurance (2318) announced the accumulated gross premium incomes of its four subsidiaries was down by 8.6 percent year-on-year to 189.3 billion yuan for the first two months. The incomes from life insurances and health insurance dropped about 12 percent to 147.1 billion yuan.
