Attendants prepare ahead of the opening session of the National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China, March 5, 2017. Chinese authorities on Sunday also released the Ministry of Finance’s budget report and the national planning agency’s draft plan for economic and social development. Online versions of the reports typically don’t show up on official websites until much later, so China Real Time has scanned and uploaded the files, in both English and Chinese, in text-searchable format.
