The RCEP shall further accelerate economic cooperation and exchanges between the Asean region and China, which actually have complementary economies. The RCEP and China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) shall strengthen the win-win economic partnership between Asean and China. A freer trade and a lessening of tariffs under the RCEP shall boost Philippine, Asean and Asian economic recoveries. The FFCCCII was established in 1954 by leaders of the Filipino Chinese business community as part of the country's efforts in post-World War 2 economic reconstruction. We continue to support Filipino Chinese fire volunteer brigades, which are well-known for assisting fire and disaster victims regardless of race, religion or socio-economic background.
