On Sunday, a northwesterly system develops over the lower South Island then a warmer front is forecast to move across Fiordland on Sunday. In the far south, Dunedin has a fine, frosty morning ahead then cloud and some rain with a maximum 12C. In the South Island, Nelson has a frosty start, southwest breezes and a sunny day ahead with a maximum 14C.
