Police were called after Trevor Oldham threatened to shoot his wife. "I want you gone, and the only way to get you gone is to shoot you," he told her. Oldham had been drinking alone at the couple's house while his wife was at her end of year work do, the court heard. The protection order breach related to five letters Oldham sent his wife while on remand in custody, later in December. The last line of the last letter ended with the sign-off "Your last partner Trevor Oldham", with the word "last" being underlined several times.
