Child trafficking: Authorities to identify risky spots


Resident Welfare Associations have been asked to help keep the authorities informed about any untoward incidents. The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights held a meeting with District Magistrates SDMs, and senior officers from the Delhi Police and the labour department to identify "vulnerable" areas that have reported multiple cases of missing children. The move will help formulate a strategy for creating a preventive intelligence network with the help of police and the civil society. Resident Welfare Associations have been asked to help keep the authorities informed about any untoward incidents. To take measures against child labour, the Sub-Divisional Magistrates must have regular inspections of industrial units suspected to be engaging child labour.
