A lit brazier tipped over onto a child in a driveway in Taupo, causing serious injuries. A child has received serious burns at a home in Taupo after they were hit by a fallen lit brazier. The brazier was operating in a residential driveway when it fell over, causing serious injuries to the child and minor injuries to a second individual. "We got the call just after 7.50pm to the report of a house fire. Upon arrival it turned out to be a brazier that had been tipped over in the driveway however there was a child there who received burns," northern communications shift manager Murray Bannister said.
