Chiefs captain Brodie Retallick will play more than the five consecutive Super Rugby games allowed by All Blacks. Brodie Retallick has been given the tick of approval to break the All Blacks rest rule in Super Rugby. "The plan is that I'll be going to South Africa next week to play in Pretoria, and won't be going to Argentina, so I'll be coming home for a week there," he said. "The other bonus of not going to Argentina was it backs onto a Chiefs bye week, so it's kind of an extended break in itself there." The Chiefs' second bye doesn't come till the penultimate round of the regular season, leaving an eight-game block between byes which All Blacks would have to miss a fixture during.
