NewsChevron Lubricants Lanka PLC’s long-standing Managing Director/CEO Kishu Gomes has resigned from the company with immediate effect. Asked to comment on the unexpected move, Mr. Gomes told TimesOnline that this change (moving out) had been planned for a long time to enable him to spend more time on helping people, particularly the youth, and communities. Mr. Gomes has worked at two multinationals including Coca Cola over the past three decades. The company said Mr. Gomes’ resignation is effective May 22 and that Rochna Kaul has been appointed as Managing Director/CEO in an acting capacity. Ms. Kaul is General Manager of Chevron Lubricants Asia/Pakistan region, responsible for the sales and marketing of finished lubricants and coolants in Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
