Chennai will be the venue for the Crafts Council of India’s bi-annual textiles and accessories show on 9th and 10th August. This two-day exhibition at the MRC Centre will showcase a diverse range of weaves and accessories from across India, offering a unique opportunity to explore the country’s rich textile heritage. The show will also include contemporary kurtas from Kaayaa, Indo-Western outfits from Hiranya, and embroidered co-ords from Piar. The exhibition aims to facilitate direct interaction between customers and the creators of these textiles. We hope to raise awareness about the significance of handspun yarn and non-violent silk.”
