Gary Cahill is 32 while David Luiz turns 31 in April, and Chelsea are determined to add youth to their squad. The London Evening Standard claim Chelsea are monitoring Lascelles and have been watching the defender for almost two years. Lascelles penned the deal, but Chelsea would easily be able to improve on the £50,000 a week the Englishman earns at St James’ Park. With Arsenal quoted £25million for Jonny Evans by West Brom in January, Lascelles would fetch a healthy transfer fee.
