The University of Hong Kong has announced today that Charles Li Xiaojia will be appointed as an HKU Council member, effective on November 1. He will take up the new role for three years. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing earlier announced Charles Li Xiaojia will retire early from his role as the chief executive on December 31, 2020, ten months earlier than scheduled, and will take up the role of senior advisor for 6 months, continuing to provide guidance, and ensuring a smooth transition.
