Chandu Chavan had strayed across the LoC hours after the surgical strike in September last year. Indian solder Chandu Chavan who had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) hours after the army's surgical strike, was returned by Pakistan last week in a traumatised and incoherent condition, a report said. An officer from the Army said that it took Chavan several hours to realise he was back home in India. Chavan, 22, returned through the land transit route of Attari-Wagah border on Saturday.The BSF handed him over to the Army which took him to an undisclosed location. "Despite Indian belligerence, Pakistan believes in peaceful neighbourhood and rejects all actions aimed at undermining regional peace and security," statement reads.
