Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday morning before heading out to West Bengal to attend public rallies in support of the ruling Trinamool Congress in the State. Neither the Congress chief nor Mr. Naidu spoke with the media and what transpired but the two are believed to have discussed the current political situation. The Andhra Chief Minister will also be meeting West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee apart from attending her party's rallies on Thursday and Friday. In an interview to The Hindu on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu asserted that post-May 23 there will be a new Prime Minister replacing Narendra Modi. The Supreme Court dismissed the petition following which the parties again met the Election Commission to press their demand.
