In Auckland city, some early morning showers will clear, and a high of 17 degrees Celsius is expected. ​Looking ahead to Sunday, the North Island will see mostly fine spells with rain developing by the evening. Rain is expected for the South Island, with heavy falls in the west and north of the island.
