A disappointing European campaign ended on a high for Celtic on Wednesday evening but there's 2.4million reasons their win over Feyenoord was a lot more than meaningless. It also added a cool £2.4m to the prize money coffers - underscoring just how profitable Europe's top competition is. That's according to projected figures from Chris Weatherspoon on Twitter - which are locked in for Celtic now their European campaign is over. €4m (£3.5m) of that comes from performance-based revenue picked up from their draw with Atletico and final day win over Feyenoord. And it means they have €5.5m (£4.75m) to add onto their final prize money total which will be determined by their performance in the Europa or Conference League.
