Celebrities Call For Compassion After Trump's Missile Strike On Syria

Celebrities took to social media to voice their opinions following President Donald Trump’s decision to launch a direct attack on the Syrian government Thursday night. According to Trump, the missile strikes were ordered in retaliation for a chemical weapons attack on civilians that left at least 100 people dead earlier this week. “It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons,” Trump said Thursday from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. “If you support bombing Syria because they attacked with chemical weapons, but [you] supported banning Syrian refugees, [you’re] a f**kin hypocrite,” actor D.L. Hughley tweeted, referencing Trump’s attempts to enact a travel ban targeting Muslim-majority nations, including Syria.
