KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) has set the ceiling price for 13 types of goods under the festive price control scheme in conjunction with the Christmas celebrations. The ceiling prices took effect on Sunday (Dec 23) and will continue until Thursday (Dec 27). Among the list of price-controlled goods are live chicken, standard chicken, super chicken, imported turkey, chicken wings, imported boned mutton and lamb. Sabah KPDNHEP director Georgie Abas reminded businesses to obey the recommended prices or risk being penalised by the authorities. In another development, Georgie said the Malaysia Food Bank Foundation will expand to Sabah following its launch in Penang on Saturday (Dec 22).
