Cebu Pacific on Thursday announced several flight cancellations scheduled for Friday and Saturday due to the impending effects of typhoon “Ompong” that is threatening most areas in the country. “Ompong” entered the country Wednesday afternoon packing maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 255 kph. As of 10 a.m., the state weather bureau said that “Ompong” was last spotted at 725 km East of Virac, Catanduanes.
