SM Markets has released a statement in response to negative feedback on a viral photo showing the price of pre-weighed Taiwan peppers. In the viral photo, the supposed pre-weighed Taiwan peppers from SM Markets were priced at P1,029.60. A kilo of the peppers, based on the accurate photo from SM Markets, costs P750. “The photo (left) currently being circulated on social media regarding the price of pre-weighed Taiwan peppers is not accurate,” said SM Markets last Sept. 7. “Above (right photo), please find the correct pricing for the product reflected in all our stores carrying it.”“We encourage the public not to engage with the erroneous post,” added SM Markets.
