Neophyte Davao Representative Paolo Duterte, who earlier congratulated Cayetano in his breakfast meeting, was among those who nominated and voted for Cayetano as House speaker. Following tradition, neophyte Iloilo Rep. Braeden John Biron, the Benjamin of the Lower House at 25, administered the oath to Cayetano. The speaker’s wife, Taguig Rep. Lani Cayetano, stood by as he was sworn in as House leader.
