In a photo finish, Cavendish, of Team Dimension Data, edged out Germany’s Andre Greipel, of Team Lotto-Soudal, at the end of a 223.5-kilometer, mostly flat day. “When I crossed the line, I kind of knew I got it today but anything can happen,” said Cavendish, 31, competing in his 10th Tour de France. It was Cavendish’s second victory in three stages at this Tour, but not enough to buy him another day in the leader’s yellow jersey.
