Tomorrow (Tuesday): Scattered showers remain possible (50-60 percent chance) through the morning commute, with maybe a thunderstorm as well. While some outdoor plans are already ruined, there’s still some hope for fireworks as the rain becomes more scattered late this afternoon and evening. Temperatures remain fairly steady through this evening and overnight, near 70 to the low 70s. Rain chances should diminish later in the morning and into the afternoon, though we’ll hold on to the chance of a couple isolated showers or storms into the evening. Another heavier batch coming through DMV next 30-40min, then a break, but more showers possible after pic.twitter.com/5Dd9i1yCsM — Capital Weather Gang (@capitalweather) July 4, 20164:25 p.m. update: Should see a lull in the steady rain around 5-7:30 p.m. Showers may increase again thereafter, but as we discuss below, they should be more scattered in nature.
