Catherine Murphy (40) has been living in Australia for 15 years, but has been unable to return home since the outbreak of Covid-19 in March of last year. Before Covid, she would return to Ireland twice a year — but hasn’t now seen her loved ones since Christmas 2019. She’s maintained regular video calls with her family throughout the pandemic, and this has helped her stay connected to her loved ones in Ireland. That’s not always easy.”Part of the reason Catherine emigrated was because she thought she could get on a plane anytime and come home. In the meantime, Catherine is planning the many things she wants to do with family and friends when she does eventually get home.
