KUALA LUMPUR: A cashier was fined RM6,000 in default of eight months jail by a Sessions Court here for making an unauthorised withdrawal of RM10,000 using an ATM card that belonged to a customer. According to the statement of facts, Zuraidah was manning the till when the victim used her debit card to pay for her purchase. A check on Sports Planet CCTV footage revealed the accused taking the card and another CCTV footage showed the accused making the withdrawal. DPP Amira Sariaty Zainal told the court that the accused had committed a serious offence and asked for a just sentence. Sessions Court judge Syed Faisal Syed Amir then passed the sentence.
