Civil servant who served three Penang chief ministers passes away - Nation

GEORGE TOWN: Penang’s oldest civil servant, who served as a personal assistant to three Chief Ministers, has passed away. Ong See Fook, 83, who was attached to the office of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, died on Wednesday. He continued to serve a personal assistant for Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, who succeeded Chong Eu, followed subsequently by Guan Eng. During a visit by Guan Eng at his wake, the chief minister expressed his condolences and thanked the late civil servant for his excellent service to Penang. “He worked as a civil servant for 61 years - which is a record,” Guan Eng said.
