Cars vandalised in vicious row over controversial Auckland cycleway

Claims of alleged vandalism and rude stickers stuck on cars have surfaced amid a vicious row that has erupted over an abandoned Auckland cycleway. The Westmere cycleway has been contentious since its infancy, sparking outrage and resident revolt. In December 2017, construction of the cycleway was put on hold by Auckland Transport (AT). In a letter to Westmere residents, AT group manager David Nelson said there were "a number of issues" with the project's design and construction. To add fuel to the fire, the woman was ticketed by Auckland Transport (AT) for "parking on [a] footpath or cycle path" in February.
