One of the most horrific food mash-ups every announced - a tomato sauce icecream - is on the cards. He said Watties and Fonterra were attempting to make tomato sauce icecream. Cochrane said the idea came from seeing the Seven Sharp item where hosts tried tomato sauce on icecream. Watties's Facebook post this morning had more than 21,000 comments and over 3,000 shares - most of which are understandably revolted by the thought of a tomato sauce icecream. Wells continued to eat the bowl of tomato sauce icecream throughout the show.
