Senate deputy speaker Kembi Getura has told Jubilee leaders implicated in hate speech to carry their own cross. He said those caught spreading incitement and hate speech should be arrested and locked in cells until prosecution is completed. Meanwhile, COTU secretary General Francis Atwoli has supported the governments move of detaining eight MPs and senator over hate speech remarks. He said serious actions against those involved in hate speech remarks will help curb the increasing trends during campaigns that can polarise the country. Getura said it was not right for those in Jubilee coalition to take advantage of the government to spit tribal and incitement remarks.
