Good morning: Dame Carolyn McCall makes her City debut as chief executive of ITV this morning, presiding over the company’s full-year results. The former Easyjet executive, who arrived in January, strikes an upbeat tone — despite a 10 per cent fall in pre-tax profit to £500 million — declaring: “We have had a great start to 2018.” Revenue is up 2 per cent to £3.1 billion in 2017. She says: “There is no doubt that ITV’s operational performance in a challenging environment was strong. ITV delivered a great viewing performance on screen and online and double-digit revenue growth in video-on-demand advertising and ITV Studios.
