Transition Year drama students at Coláiste Bhríde, Carnew got the opportunity to tread the boards on Friday last as they put on their two productions in St Brigid’s Hall. The matinee performance for Third Year students was Hartline Shelter for the Homeless, directed by Gina O’Reilly this told the story of an inner-city homeless shelter and the quirky characters who live there. With plenty of humorous material to work with the cast provided great entertainment for the audience with plenty of laughs along the way. Praising all the actors, production teams and backstage teams for their hard work and effort in staging these well-received shows, teacher Rita Murphy said. Congratulations also to our two directors for their creativity and for affording these budding thespians such an opportunity.”
