Emergency services were kept busy following another single car crash near Rotorua shortly before midnight. "About one kilometre from where the police first tried to stop the vehicle, the driver of the car has failed to negotiate a moderate bend. Rotorua area commander Inspector Bruce Horne said shortly before the crash, police had seen the vehicle being driven through an intersection erratically and at speed. The incident had been referred to the Independent Police Conduct Authority and the Rotorua police serious crash unit was also conducting an investigation.
