The son of an elderly couple who were killed in a house fire in the early morning of Christmas Eve in Morden, Man. Lorne and Rose Marie "Midge" Kyle were fixtures in the community, but above all, they were beloved parents and grandparents, Angus Kyle says. Crews responded to a report of a fire at the couple's Birchwood Drive house at about 4:15 a.m., Morden Police Service Sgt. Angus thinks the fire started in the garage and spread to the house, but that hasn't been proven. The house is in ruins, and with it so many memories of his parents, Angus says.
