CANNES, FRANCE—Positive change is coming for women in the male-dominated movie industry but it will take time to see results, Palme d’Or jury president Cate Blanchett said Tuesday at the start of the 71st Cannes Film Festival. “For quality change to occur, for profound lasting change to occur, it needs to take place through specific actions,” Blanchett said.
