This week at the Spruce Meadows’ National is the final chance for Canadian chef d’equipe Mark Laskin to determine who’ll represent the country at the Pan American Games. “I think it’s a good thing — it’s great,” said Foster, who had four jumping faults aboard Figor in the final. “Ian, for me, is the ultimate team rider,” said the 34-year-old who has represented Canada at two Olympic Games. This year, she feels she has a chance to be considered especially with her consistent 13-year-old Brandenburg mare Parette.
